You Can Participate!The Solar Bus is a community project. If you believe that promoting awareness of alternative fuels, renewable energy, and peace is a good thing, we can use your help. Whether you have time, money, expertise, or information to give, it will go to a good use.Everything that goes into the Solar Bus helps the mission of promoting awareness. And the more people become aware of the possibilities of renewable energy, the more it will be used. Your help directly affects the way people think. Here are a few ways that you can participate in the exciting Solar Bus project. Click for more information: The Solar Bus will be at several events and festivals in the Northeast this summer. If you live in the area, you can meet us there. You can just come and check out the bus and all the information we have, or you can help out. There's always something to do, whether it's watching the Info Table while we take a break, helping set up a display, or even helping out with the babies (twin boys born on 12/1/03 live on board!). How to Buy Biodiesel Fuel for The Solar Bus Biodiesel fuel is a currently a bit more expensive than regular diesel fuel. We think it's worth a little extra money, considering all the environmental and political benefits of using domestically produced vegetable oil as fuel. But we need your help. You can purchase fuel for the bus, no matter where you are. Just click on the "donate" button below. You can donate as much or as little as you want. All donations of $10 or more include a thank-you certificate and a 5X7 photograph of the Solar Bus, sent by mail. All money that comes to us earmarked for fuel is set aside and only used for the purchase of Biodiesel fuel. It will not be used for any other bus improvements or anything else ever. You can know that when the Solar Bus is driving around educating people about the benefits of solar energy and biodiesel fuel, it is running on fuel that you purchased.
Click the donate button to make buy biodiesel fuel for the bus! If you live near Burlington, Vermont, you can help us work on the bus. There's much to do. This summer we have more painting to do. We are installing the electric system powered by photovoltaic panels. And, we plan to convert the fuel system to run on vegetable oil. If you are willing to help, and maybe learn something along the way, please contact us. We are currently in need of the following items. If you have an extra, please contact us to set up a way to ship it to us. Anyone who donates items to the bus will receive a certificate thanking them for the donation and have their name and description of item(s) permanently listed in the Thank You Notebook found on the bus and website. Donated items will be used exclusively for the bus and not for any other purposes.

To help purchase an item we need, or to make a general donation, click the Donate button below. You can donate as much as you want. Please enter in the "comments" if you would like your money to go towards a specific product we need. Businesses and Corporations can become sponsors of the Solar Bus. There are several ways to become a sponsor. If your company manufacturers or distributes any equipment we need, you can donate products to our project. In return, your company will be mentioned every time we explain or demonstrate the product. We will offer literature about your company at all events the Solar Bus attends. Organizations that make significant donations (either hardware or financial) will have their name, logo, or website address displayed prominently.
